I’m pretty impressed to announce that, as of 9pm last night (GMT+10), I successfully combined my Txp blog feed + my delicious ‘forblog’ tag feed through the power of Yahoo! Pipes, the ‘powerful content aggregation tool’. So now feed subscribers should be getting a healthy dose of articles and links straight into their Feed Readers / Inboxes / Eyeballs (the latter for if you’re not down with technology).
Right, so, Yahoo! Pipes: easy? Yes, pretty darn, though I would have been nowhere without Naz Hamid’s article. It’s just the unix terminology which would have thrown me, really, so if you’re a bit of genius in that area already then the whole thing should be a no-brainer. That said, when my girlfriend walked past my screen she couldn’t begin to comprehend what I was doing and thus I earned a few ‘clever’ points. So many benefits to technology.
So I followed Naz’s article pretty much and then sorted the whole lot by publication date so that it would all intermingle nicely as one feed. You can view the feed details and see the infographic type thing for it at my Pipes page.
So the reintegration of my Blog into this domain and Txp, etc. is coming along. Now I just need to pull in some Flickr bits and things like that and we’ll be all ‘proper like’.
