Today I added a Tshirt to the RedBubble.com marketplace. I’ve been a member of RedBubble for a year or so but I’ve not delved into the Products side of the site until recently. Briefly, RB makes it easy for creative folk to have their stuff printed and sold as products: you simply upload your artwork, add details and it’s there ready for purchase as a poster, framed print, tee and more – very clever.
The design I chose is an excerpt from the old ‘Scrapbook’ which once lived here on Rocketfuelled.com; a piece called ‘The (Design) Process’. A few people commented that it would make a good tee design back then so let’s see what happens. I tweaked it up a bit and chose just to have it black-on-brown, as it was originally. Printed on very decent American Apparel tees, it should look pretty good I hope.
I purchased the tee straight away so that I can see how these things come out. If it works out well I’ll do more, but first I want to see what the final product is like. I’ll post up some pics when it arrives in ~10 days. One way to increase my wardrobe, anyway.
